Three Days of Rain is a play by the Tony Award winning playwright of Take Me Out, Richard Greenberg. The play, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, is an examination of the myths children believe about their parents and what happens when children try to piece together their family history without all the facts. After disappearing on the day of his father's funeral, Walker Janeway returns to New York to hear the reading of his famous father's will. Reunited with his sister, Nan, and their childhood friend, Pip, Walker discovers his father's journal and reads its first entry "1960, April 3rd to April 5th - Three days of rain" which sets the scene for this remarkable play - part drama, part mystery and, unexpectedly, part romance. As we travel from 1995 to 1960, the question is raised: how well do we really know our parents?
